Hey everyone, as usual it’s been an exciting couple of weeks here at Studio Ninja HQ and we’ve got some awesome updates for you.

Other exciting news, we have employed a full time tester! Yuri’s only job is to try and break the system, which he has actually been able to do many many times! So over the next month there are going to be a lot of improvements in quality control which will improve the overall experience for everyone!

So, here is the latest update on the things we have been working on and deployed today:

Email Log

The biggest update for these last 2 weeks is the Mail Log. In the Job Profile of all your jobs you will now see the Mail box. This box shows you all the emails that are being sent using Studio Ninja. These include emails you send the client directly, emails that the system sends automatically as part of a workflow task or payment reminder emails.

There are also 4 status types in relation to these emails:

Sent = which means the email was successfully sent

Opened = which means your client has viewed this email

Clicked = which means your client has clicked on a link in the email

Undelivered = which means an email was undelivered

Security – EV SSL

The next task we completed was installing EV SSL. In a nutshell, this basically means that we have implemented one of the highest grades of browser encryption and security to the Studio Ninja server. Next time you login to Studio Ninja you’ll notice the green address bar, a lock icon and https:// in the web address.

12 Hour Time Picker with AM & PM

Gone are the days of the 24 hour confusing time picker. We have updated our time picker and all correspondence in relation to time to a new 12 hour clock with AM and PM options.

More Variables

We have incorporated all the variable options available including business information, client information and job information into emails, email templates, contracts and everywhere else where emails are sent inside Studio Ninja. For example, you can now add client details into your contracts automatically, job notes can automatically be inputted into emails to clients, or basically just customise your workflows way more!

Old Jobs

You can now add old jobs into Studio Ninja. To prevent problems with automation, custom workflows have been disabled for jobs added in the past. But feel free to add all your old jobs and invoices for record keeping.

New currencies for your international friends!

For all your international friends out there, we have added Malaysian Ringgit, Swiss Franc, Indian Rupee, Norwegian Krone, Russian Ruble, Polish Zloty and Bulgarian Lev.

Plus lots of small stuff not really worth mentioning…

Here is a list of the stuff we have planned for the next 2 weeks:

Customisable Job Types!! You will be able to create your own Job Types! You’ll be able to add, edit and delete Job Types plus assign custom colours to each individual Job. This is a big one and will take up the majority of the time as it applies to the whole system and a lot of pages need to be redesigned!

New Filters: We’ll add Active Jobs excluding Leads and Leads Only filters to the Job Overview page so you can filter all your jobs and leads easier.

Record Payment Date: We’re adding a date field to the Record Payment lightbox so you can record exactly when payments were made for better reporting.

Notes field added to Add New Job and Add New Client: We’re adding a notes field so it’s quicker for you to add notes while putting in a new client or job.
