This one’s a little closer to our hearts. As Studio Ninja starts to grow, we feel it is very important and actually one of our core business values to help and support not only our community of photographers but also as many people in the world as possible.
In line with this mission we decided to partner with YGAP, a not-for-profit organisation built by entrepreneurs that, like us, believe a world without poverty is possible. A world where everyone receives a quality education, can earn a fair wage and live in a good home, free from violence and preventable disease.
As part of this partnership we will donate $1 of every subscription payment, every month to YGAP. Our mission? To help YGAP change the lives of one million people living in poverty by 2018! YGAP finds, accelerates, supports and grows early local leaders with solutions to poverty in their communities through their Spark accelerator program.
Meet Nonhalanhla Masina – one of the impact entrepreneurs YGAP supports!
It’s a fact that children born in South African communities are unlikely to receive a secondary school education because they are unable to afford the schooling and are forced to enter the workforce at an early age.
Nonhalanhla Masina (pictured above), had big dreams and with YGAP’s help, created the African School of Excellence.
With our growing network of photographers (you guys) and our increasing monthly contributions, we want to help YGAP support incredible local leaders like Noni with her mission to help more kids and build a foundation that will one day scale to become a self-sustaining network of elite independent secondary schools that anyone can afford across Africa. Most importantly she is helping secure equal opportunity for these children’s future!
